After the Project
As I mentioned in the previous section about my writing journey, I am no master at writing papers or essays. I feel like my writing of the content just cannot capture the excitement that I'm currently feeling in better understanding a movement that can literally change a people's history. And I'm even more excited by realizing I've put together an art project on history that is unfolding as I write.
I've always been interested in current events and how the events relate to issues of the past. As I studied this movement, I realized even more so how history indeed repeats itself with corrupt governments followed by movements for change followed sometimes again by failed governments. Yet each movement produces its own art form, and with the art forms comes memories of the individuals involved in the movement that carry out the art further, influencing change in their society's culture and people.
This movement, in particular, has made its impact on me in its international publicity through social media. Not only has Taiwan adopted many Western forms of music, the island has also adopted many Western means of communication, which then allow the Taiwanese people to broadcast out the art they have created in light of the movement.
And finally, this project has made me all the more excited to be studying abroad in Taiwan this summer - in the exact city where the movement is held: Taipei, Taiwan.

...and I figured I'd also take the time to mention - TUMBLR IS AWESOME :D I think it'll soon turn into my next creative outlet.
